I have been completely blessed to be apart of Playing for Others from its start in 2006. I still remember that hot august day when Jen brought us all together for the first time to tell us about her dream of getting teens to use their artistic abilities to create change in the community. Four years down the road, its amazing to see how much PFO has grown since it’s humble beginnings. I have been privileged to have had three buddies throughout PFO; Brielle, Tristan, and Jessica. Jessica is my buddy right now, and I have enjoyed every second Margaret and I have been able to hang out with her and get to know her these past few months. I have learned so much from her in the little time we have spent together, and I look forward to getting to know her even more. Through PFO I have learned responsibility, how to be a leader, acceptance, and most importantly how to create change wherever I go. As I look back on my life so far, I am confident in saying that PFO has been a huge part in molding me into the person I am today. There is something truly magical about PFO, and I think people are drawn to its contagiousness. I hope one day everyone will catch the PFO bug, the world would be certainly a better place!
