We hone our critical thinking, along with our creativity.
In spring, PFO teens join one of an array of Arts Experiences, and work with a team that includes arts professionals and peers. Over several weeks, they create a piece that becomes part of PFO’s culminating Arts Weekend. Musicals in multi-performance runs staged in a local theater, the permanent installation of an interactive “sound garden,” a night of commissioned dance pieces, a photography exhibition, a song-writing concert that also reaches out to the community: These have all been part of PFO Arts Weekends through the years.
Through intensive collaboration, teens polish critical thinking skills and teamwork, as well as creative expression. Putting their talents to work for a larger purpose — and discovering new talents as well — has proven compelling, and an unforgettable Experience.
