Hello Journey Group!
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring weather! In Playing for Others this past month, we’ve all been really busy preparing for our arts experiences! Because we want a large attendance at our shows, and because we are a nonprofit organization, our engagement with the community is key to our success.
Playing for Other’s community engagement begins with YOU! Every month, all of our teens send updates to their journey groups, to raise awareness and gain support for our efforts. Without you all, a huge faction of support would be lost. So, THANK YOU for your support, whether it be monetary or by word of mouth, or simply just by reading my blog!
Another facet of our involvement in the community is through our buddy program, when we connect with our buddies once every month, at least. This is my favorite part! The friendships we form with our buddies are life-changing and incredibly meaningful.
Through corporate sponsor meetings, we gain support from the business community, and also raise awareness for our cause. And through our Open House, coming up on April 21st, we hope to gather a large group from the community all over to learn more about Playing for Others! If you are able to make it, I would love for you to come!
