Hey there Journey Group!
This month I’m all about my buddy! For those of you in my Journey Group who don’t know about PFO, the buddy program is a major part. Every year we team up with another nonprofit organization that helps kids with any kind of disability. Our buddies can also be a sibling of a kid with a disability.
My buddy this year is a bright, vivid, exciting and energetic little four year old named David. David’s older brother Shep, who is seven, has Cerebral Palsy. His case is more mild than most others. His mainly affects his ankles. My buddy David on the other hand is just a sibling. He plays soccer and I can’t wait to go to one of his games. At our first buddy event he came from a game and he still had his cleats and shin-guards on. It was adorable! David has a twin sister named Lane. All three siblings are very close and always seem so happy.
My thanks to all of my Journey Group members for following me on this adventurous journey. I guess that’s why it’s called a Journey Group. I can’t express my thanks enough and I hope you enjoyed my blog.
