Happy Easter, Journey Group!!!

In this months blog, I’ll be talking to you guys about Playing for Other’s community involvement. Which is what it sounds like, how we interact with the community in the Charlotte area.

Our most “popular” or well known way that we interact with the community are the buddy events. In my opinion, this is probably my most favorite thing we do in PFO. I love spending time with my buddy, Aiden. You’ve heard all about him in previous blogs so you probably already know how awesome he is. And one thing that a lot of people misinterpret about our buddies is that we are “helping” them. Cause we’re not! We’re just being their friend and having a great time with them. If anything, they’re helping us. Helping us to become more accepting and a better friend. That’s probably the main reason we do buddy events. They really bring out the fact that acceptance is such a major thing in PFO. Which is yet another way we interact with the public! Spreading acceptance.

Another way we interact with the public, is all the events open to the public! The Winter Ball and Arts Experiences are just a few but there are so many. And all these events are great waysq to have fun and spread the word about PFO. We probably could be an “exclusive” “closed” organization. But we’re not, and that’s why it’s so great.

This concludes my blog guys. I love you all! Just kidding! I forgot one MAJOR thing. The PFO Open House is coming up!!! It will be delightful and a great way to spread the word of Playing for Others. You are all invited to the event on April 21st, and I would love to see you there. Have a great April guys. (:
